Sub-Report Question: Rows getting cut off between pages

Hi,

I have an Access Report with SubReports.

Because the SubReport don't always have content, and there are many
sections, I set the SubReport as 0 height with the "can grow" property as yes
so it only expands if there's data in it.

Problem is this...every now and then, if the data is staggered a certain
way, one of the record line would be printed such at half of it is on one
page and half of it on the next page?

How do I keep it together? The "keep together" property didn't seem to do
the trick.

I don't know if this matters, but I have this subreports in the report
footer section.

I don't think I can help, but I do have a couple of
comments.

No, it does not matter that it's in the report footer
section.

The only time I have ever seen this happen is when the font
used in the text box has faulty metrics, so maybe you should
try a standard font such as Arial or Times Roman.

A stray thought with no experience to support it is that
your printer driver might(?) be involved. Access reports
are super sensitive about printers so there could
conceivably be something(?) about the interaction with the
driver that's throwing things off.

I guess it's kind of comforting to know that it has something to do with the
settings.

The report requestor wanted to minimize the length of the printout as much
as possible, so I had the textbox that was minimized incrementally half way
between a grid mark.

When I adjusted it back to a full grid mark, that seemed to have solved the
problem.

The thing is, after 21 days of printing, it only happened once. So, maybe
I'm just mathematically lucky right now and haven't really solved the problem.

I don't see how the position of a text box could cause that
effect, but I don't remember ever trying to do what you're
doing either.

Maybe you might want to try changing the Grid X and Grid Y
properties so you can put the text box where you want and
have it on a grid line.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with this error.

I encounter this error especially in cases where the header of a memo field
is on the bottom of a page, and the first line of the memofield does not fit
on this page anymore. The header and one half of the first line of the
memofield appears on the bottom of one page, the second half of the first
line is printed on top of the next page. Because my report consists of
several memo fields, I encounter this problem several times.

I've applied your trick, and it seems to have lowered the amount of cut off
problems. However, there are still cut offs present.
