Sub totals on added columns in MS project

I have added numerical columns to my MSP file
I have added some amounts to the sub tasks need to know how do i ge
sub totals on the main task

Right click on the column, select "Customize Fields..." Look on the form
that opens for a radio button "Calculation for task and group summary rows."
Select "rollip" and then Sum from the drop down.
