Subdividing a Page

I work in Word 2000 and want to subdivide a page into 8
different sections. Four on each side. In WordPerfect a
person could go to either page layout or formatting and
hit subdivide and it would be section equally into as many
sections as you wanted. Does anyone know the trick to
doing this? Thank You for the Help
