Subdomains don't publish

Jesse

HI!

I am having trouble creating/publishing a subdomain...

So the main web folder is "Wedding" with it's own index page.
And there a Web saved within that called "RSVP".
My intention is create http://rsvp.wedding.com
A subdomain "rsvp.wedding.com" has already been created/setup with my
hosting provider.

Am I supposed to save an index.htm file withing the RSVP WEB?
And then do I click publish?
When I click publish, I am alerted that there's a CONLFLICT - presumeably,
since I already have a file index.htm (under the WEDDING WEB).

I appreciated your help!

Thanks,
Jesse

You need to open the subweb rsvp by itself without the main web in FrontPage
just browse to it in the open web box once it is open in FrontPage press
publish....then insert the correct path http://rsvp.wedding.com for
publishing (DO NOT put your main domain without the rsvp or you will
overwrite your main web) check in the right hand pane once the username and
pw box has been filled in that the web that appears is INDEED your rsvp web
...

You created a setup on your host for your subdomain ... similarly you need
to point your subweb to your subdomain by opening the subweb by itself and
then publishing to the correct location.

Ok - it's still not working... Just let me make sure I understand it
correctly:

When you say to open the subweb by itself: I make sure all my webs are
closed...I click File/Open Web...I open up "Wedding WEB"....I open up "Rsvp
WEB"...and click Ok. On the tippytop it says: C:\wedding\rsvp

I have an index.htm file setup in Rsvp. And then I click Publish.
When I click Publish, I enter in "http://rsvp.wedding.com".
Then I get an error message: "...make sure that the server has the FP
Server Extensions or SharePoint Services installed."

I know that the server has installed the extensions - I have a fully
functional emailing form.
So is there something else that I could do? Or is it definitely a
server/hosting issue?

Any further help would be appreciated!
Thanks!
