Subfolder rule notification

I

ICW_IT

I have a rule in MS Outlook 2007 that moves specified emails to
subfolder within the inbox. The only problem is that if the paren
folder is not expanded to show the subfolder, there is no way to know i
there is a new message in the subfolder. I have checked other machine
with MSO '07 and some open the folder containing the subfolder and som
don't but I can't find a difference in the rule settings or any othe
options. Is there a way to notify me that there is a new message in
subfolder (ie. make the folder's name bold, show a number next to th
name, etc.)

This behavior is automatic, not by option. Some versions support
auto-expansion, some don't. Use the unread folder to review mail if outlook
doesn't expand.

Bolding and the number should be automatic (you can choose to show the
number of total messages or number of unread messages) - but expansion is
not.
