Subform causes form to close

I have an Access database running on an Oracle backend. My
workstations are Windows 2000 and Windows 98. After
editing a record subform on a 2 page form, clicking on
another subform closes everything and it reopens right
away to the main page.
any ideas? This recently started happening.
After a few occurances like this, Access closes with an
error. the log file entry says "Exception number: c0000005
(access violation)"
thanks for any advice.
