Subform Formatting

I apologize if the answer to these questions is simple,
but I can't seem to find a reference for this anywhere.

I have a form that has (2) subforms. They are both
datasheets. One contains fields from linked tables and
the other is a crosstab query.

I can't seem to get any of the formatting to take hold
(bold font, font sizes, etc.) when I work on them
separately in design view. I will change the properties
of a field/section, etc., but it continues to look like a
regular table.

Can I change the format of these subforms?

Can I change the format of these subforms?

Do you perchance have the DefaultView property for these subforms set to
Datasheet View? If so, change it to Continuous Forms.
