Subform/Linked Form Problems

I am creating a new form that required a one to many with another table. I designed it first as a master form with a linked child form. I got this error "object or class does not support the set of events". I couldn't solve it, so I started over and just created a main form for the master with a subform as the child. Once again I'm getting the same error of "object or class does not support the set of events". I have not been able to find reference to this error anywhere. Do I have a software problem or has anyone else run into this? As it stands, I don't seem capable of any master/child form building. Help!
