Subject: Groove Ongoing Remarks: and Description: fields question.

Is there a way to have an automatic date/time stamp for every new update
remark or description done as in Goldmine or ACT 2000 as an exaple? I would
love to write things down but want to be reminded for me and my partners when
and who.

There's a couple of ways of doing this -

1: Have a "comments" form that you can work in rather than the main form.

2: Have a new 'log' field on your form. When you save a forms record, have a
script that loops through comparing the fields on the form with the fields on
the original version of the record, and write those fields that have changed
to the log along with the date and person who modified the form.

3: You could have a pop-up box where the user could add a one-liner comment
to go into the 'log' field when they saved a record.

Obviously, 1 is easy but might not be a perfect match for what you want,
while 2 and 3 will require som Groove Forms programming.
