Submission of reproducable bug

T

Tom Youngquist

Could I get a response possibly from the MS team as to the
best way to report a reproducable bug? I have as simple
form which can be reproduced against the Northwinds
database which I would like to submit but am not sure how
to do it without being charged for an event. Any ideas?
Thank you in advance.

Hi Tom.
Place to start is support.microsoft.com
There is an option to "contact Microsoft" with different options available.

Before you submit the bug, you may like to search the knowledgebase at the
address above to see if it's already been reported by someone else. You
should also check that you have the latest service pack: SP2 for Access
2002, SP3 for Access 2000, or SR-2 for Access 97. There may also be a more
recent JET service pack for your version. These are all available from the
"Download Software" option at the support site.

If you have done that and still have the bug, a step-by-step description of
how to reproduce it with Northwind would be really good, e.g.:
1. Open the Orders form in design view.
2. ...

You may care to post details of the bug here. We may be able to tell you if
it's a known issue, or if you have misunderstood something, or uncovered a
new bug.
