Submit Error Message

One of my users (bless them for they teach us many things) has been
saving her forms and entering new data into them each day. Sometimes
she would open a new form and start a new collection of data. Finally,
on Tuesday of this week, her forms would no longer submit to the
database.

The error message she got was: InfoPath cannot submit the form. An
effor occurred while the form was being submitted. Row cannot be
located for update. Some values have been changed since it was last
read.

It took some investigating on my part with a long conversation with her
to uncover what she had been doing. When I checked the database itself
(Access) I found that all her previous data entries had mysteriously
disappeared. I suspect what she has done is overwritten everything she
previously entered. The reason for the error, I think is because she
was actually entering fewer lines in the repeating table than she had
in previous days.

I advised her that she must open a new form each day for data entry and
must quit saving her old stuff and writing over it. The database, after
all, now keeps track of everything. She felt that because the data was
relatively similar everyday, it would save time not to have to retype
it all each day.

We printed out everything she had saved and will, on Monday, delete
what she has saved and start with fresh forms and get everything
entered correctly.

Those of you more experienced than I... am I on the right track? And
what can I do to help my dear users from doing these stupid things? Is
there a way to put in a popup message or inline message of some sort
when they try this stunt again, that will alert them to the problem? I
have 16 other users.
