Submitting a form

In my website created with FrontaPage 2003, I have two forms. They are
published to a server that has FrontPage Server Extensions but when you press
"Submit" a screen pops up that says:

"You have submitted a form that requires a web server and the FrontPage
Server Extensions to function properly..."

The "reset" button works fine but the submit button won't work on the
Internet or my own computer when published to it. I think I may have not set
up the form correctly, but I don't know where to start. Any ideas?

Your web host must have the extensions configured to process email, if you have set the form to send
to an email address.

Thank you, but I don't have it set to email the results. I have it set to
send the results to the _private folder as HTML or and I've tried as a text
database.

I have tried making a one field form to simply things. It is here:
www.cmhos.org/new/formtest.htm

However, it does not work there, nor published to a remote site on my own
computer, but both have the server extensions.

action="_derived/nortbots.htm" in the <form tag indicates the form page
was FTPed to the server - it must be HTTP published to a server running
FrontPage extensions.

nortbots.htm only appears in five cases:

1) You are testing on a disc-based website, including a FrontPage
disc-based web that is being browsed through a web-server.

2) You are testing on a website that does not have server extensions
installed or running.

3) The site (or form page) was FTPed from a disc-based web, or
published using a FTP address for the destination, or published to a
file system destination including a network share or UNC address (like
\\machinename\path\webname), or to an address like C:\sitename .
Publish must be to a URL of the form http://example.com

4) The site was correctly published, but the extensions were not
installed correctly or were mis-configured. Re-installing the
extensions may correct the problem.

5) There is a bug associated with FrontPage98 which causes this
problem.
