Hello,
I'm pretty new to InfoPath 2003 SP1 so apoligies if this is pretty basic.
I'm creating a form to log changes against confiurations in our CMDB
(basically a db with all servers, ws etc..). I have a main connection to an
SQL database table to store the changes:
ITEM
AFFECTEDUSER
DATE1
DATE2
etc
I then have secondary connection setup to an SQL view which queries a oracle
DB (our CMDB) and returns a list of servers in field ITEM_SC.
What i would like to do is query the secondary data source which then brings
back all the servers and then uses the ITEM_SC to populate the ITEM field to
submit to the main data source. I try setting the value of ITEM to ITEM_SC.
When I do this i can return all the server names to ITEM_SC but ITEM takes
the first servername in the list and just repeats this name. What i'm trying
to do is create multiple records in the main connection from the secondary
connection.
I have re-read the above and it sounds confusing but i can't explain it any
clearer.
Any help would be well appreciated!
Chris
