Hi,

Is there a way to set different color schemes (in Gantt charts) for
different subprojects in a master project plan? I have 9 subprojects and
there was a need for viewing and differentiating different projects based on
their color.

Appreciate any help

Thanks

Jay,
Sure, just select each subproject and all its subtasks and go to
Format/Font and select a color. Be aware though that the formatting
applies only at the master level. In other words, if you open one of the
subprojects by itself, you won't see the text formatting color.

The above process highlights the textual information on the left side of
the Gantt. The graphical side of the Gantt can also be color coded but
it is a little more complicated because there are normally several Gantt
bar styles (e.g. summary, normal, milestone, progress, etc.).
Hope this helps.

Hello,
Create 9 cutomized fields : Flag1 to Flag9
Enter a formula such as IIf(left([Project];3)="Act";-1;0) in each of these 9
Flag fields
Copy these Flag fields in both sub project and master project via the
Organizer (Tools / Organize)
In the Master project : Format / Bar styles... create 9 bars which Show for
: Normal;Flag1... etc...
Hope this helps,
