subprojects into one project

Hello,

I'm using MS Project 2007 and want to take existing subprojects and bring
them into the master schedule with the goal of making it one project without
subprojects. Can you tell me the best way to approach this?

Thanks you,

Create a new blank project, then click Insert - Project. In the Insert
Project dialog, select the first project you want to insert, deselect the
"Link to project" option, and then click the Insert button. Repeat this
process for each subproject. Remember: You MUST deselect the "Link to
project" option for each project you insert. Hope this helps.

Unfortunately, I still can't get this to work. I have 1 master project and 4
subprojects and 1 additional subproject that is the resource pool, and they
are all linked together. I want to combine all of these in one project (no
subprojects) but can't seem to do it. Is there a way of printing the links
between projects and subprojects? If I can see the links, maybe I could
delete them first, then copy and paste each subproject into a new standalone
project. Thanks for your help.

Hi Mike,

Create a master project. Open project A . In Tools/Share Resources, select
to Use own resources. Then select all the tasks, copy, in the master - paste
into the first blank line. Collapse it so that only the project A's summary
shows. Repeat for project B and paste into the next available blank line,
and collapse it. Repeat until you have all 4 projects. You should now have
a project with all your old projects in one file. You can now work with the
master and archive the old files.
