Subreport causing problems

I have created a report with a subreport linked by two fields (bill date and
item code). Running the report alone works fine but when I insert the
supreport it stalls and doesn't open. At the bottom it only says "Formatting
page, press Ctrl+Break to stop...". I have another report that is similar
and runs fine but I cannot find the difference between the two other than the
one that works is only linked to the main report by one field.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Does the subreport have a query as a recordsource? If so that is your hang
up. Run the query and make sure it runs ok.

I've had this happen when the subreport and the main report have had Force
New Page commands in them. The two Force New Page's clashed with each other
like two fat ladies colliding in a narrow doorway..
