Subreport "emptry" after 1st run

When I run a report, which contains sub-reports, the first time the
information on the sub-reports displays. If I run the report again - even for
the same data - the sub-reports are "empty" - nothing. If I close the mdb
file and open it, the sub-reports show data on the first run, then they don't.

I have noticed, in design mode, the sub-reports' place holders are plain
white boxes with the sub-report name in the upper left, rather than showing
parts of the report - the ruler, report header, etc. In an effort to fix the
problem I removed and added the sub-reports back, have run Compact and
Repair. Nothing fixes the problem.

The parent/child links are based on two fields, Job_number and Form_number,
which are valid/present/etc. (The Job_number is the selection criteria in the
main report). Sub-reports and queries run OK stand alone.

Any ideas what is causing this problem?

OK. Problem resolved. I deleted the first sub-report from the main report.
Deleted the (sub) report. Created a new one and added it to the main report.
While adding the subreport the wizard failed (blank content - "You can use an
existing ... or create ..." - so I ran "Compact and Repair database". Now it
works OK. First time, Every time.
