Subreport from query?

Hello,

I have a form that calls a report based on a filter (the
original table has about 8 fields), However, in the
report header I have a subreport that is based on a query
which only contains 1 of the fields (because I need a
list of all of the unique vales of that fields listed), I
need a way of using the same filter on the
query/subreport to list the unique values contained in
the filter in the report. Sounds confusing I know.. but
is this possible?
