Subreport troubleshooting

Jess

I have two subreports based on queries that work fine when
independent of the main report but do not show any data as
subreports. I'm trying to get these two subreports to show
data in the main report during print preview.

I have other subreports on the same main report which work
fine and have similar properties as the broken subreports.
The queries are based on criteria involving a linked field
on the main report which is entered via a separate main
parameter query.

I have checked the linking fields (for child and master
reports), the individual subreports, and the queries they
are based on, but they still are not working as
subreports.

The fields are evident in Layout View (with the incorrect
data of course) and I know data does exist and should be
visible. I have also tried saving and restarting my
computer, as well as redoing the subreports using wizards
and design view. The controls are visible on the
subreports.

Any ideas?

Hi Jess,

It sounds like you've checked the obvious things. We once had a similar
problem at a client site - a subreport just showed as a blank box on her
machine, but the same code and data worked on several of ours. Just in
case, we had her apply the latest service releases to Access, and the
problem was resolved. Something to try, anyway.

Good luck,
