Subscript in legend?

We have a chemical, with a subscript, that won't come up that way in the
legend. We can change the entire legend or one legend entry but is there a
way to just subscript one letter in an entry without creating our own legend
from scratch?

The only way is to use a font with sup and superscripts
Do a Google for Chemistry Sans Serif font from J. Eric Slone Scientific

I believe the font is free - else I would not have it on my PC!

No, I don't know of any way to format one character of a chart element
such as a legend. What I do is create a textbox inside the chart.
This provides much more flexibility when it comes to applying
formatting effects on a character-by-character basis.

To create a textbox in a chart is trivial. Select the chart. Start
typing in the formula bar. XL will automatically add a textbox to the
chart.
