Hi.
I trying again to use this future. What I have.
- I defined Outline Resource Code as Skill and write to Lookup Table all
skills< which I want to use (developer, designer, etc)
- define corresponding skills to all resources in Enterprise Resources Pool
- create project and as resources insert name of skills
- start Subst. resources tool and add at step 2 all resources from Ent.
Resource Tool
- as result I get one people assigned to all tasks

Where is my mistake?

Any advice would be helpful!!

Alerxander,

I think where you are making a mistake is you are entering the name of
the skill as a resource. If you start freely typing text into the
resource assignment section it will add those as local resources.
Verify that by looking at the indicator field in the Resource Sheet.
If there is a dark multi profile icon then they are local resources.

You should add Generic Resources from the Enterprise Resource Pool to
the project through the Tools>Build Team From Enterprise and make sure
those generics also have a skill associated to them in the outline code
column in the Checked Out Enterprise Resource Pool.

Also make sure that the skill outline code is set to "Use this code for
matching on generic" or else the substitution wizard will just go down
the list of available users in alphabetical order and do a one to one
replacement of the generic resources.

If you do all that correctly then the subsitution wizard will replace
each one of your generic roles with real resources from the enterprise
resource pool based on that same skill.
