Subtotal fix for excel 2003 updated registry-now another problem

I have updated my registry to use excel 97subtotals to fix the subtotal
problem (mulitlevel subtotals are in the wrong position - support kb/831824).
Now when trying to subtotal, the subtotal window lists the second row (data)
to subtotal by. It should subtotal by the first header row. HOW do I fix
THAT, please? Thanks in advance for any help!
