Subtracting Military Time

I am setting up a worksheet for a labor and delivery
department in a healthcare facility. They are tracking
the amount of time a patient is in their department by
fields of "Time In" and "Time Out". They use military
time to enter the times. They need to know the total
amount of time a woman is in the department. When I set up
a formula of ="Time Out" - "Time In", it works okay except
when the times span over PM to AM. An example - 23:45 -
01:30. Any suggestions?
