Subweb Creation Error

I have successfully installed Share Point team services and Project in the same server. Also, both applications seem to be connected to our SQL Server. From what I've seen on the MS Discussion Group, some people are having the same problem. This seems to be related to the following error message while creating subwebs using MSP 2002 "Error occurred when creating subweb. Subweb does not seem to exist. XML document must have a top level element." I tried everything that is documented out there so far without any luck. Originally we thought it was a permissions issue at the server side, but I made sure that the users where part of the administration group. Also, I made sure that STS and PWA had read and write privileges at the IIS. Has anyone solved this problem?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

After you ran PSCOMPlus and PROXYCFG...

Did you synchronize the administrators accounts?

I believe it has to do with the permission settings in
your IIS...

Check your settings...i.e. (low)..etc..

Good Luck,

Thanks for the reply. I tried syncronizing the admin
accounts and I get the following error "006~ASP
0177~Server.CreateObject Failed~The server process could
not be started because the configured identity is
incorrect. Check the username and password." Any idead?

Rodrigo:

Is the STSAdmin account you're using a member of the local administrators
group?

I had the same issue after the migration and a rebuild.
I ended up uninstalling Project Server and reinstalling
it. This resolved that issue.

Hi Errin,

What are ALL of the steps you took to resolve before such a radical step as
Installing the Application again.
Just curious...
