I have been using my small Business office 2003 for about a year now.
Suddenly I get an activation request, stating that I have a trial version. .
.. then the wrong product key
From what I can remember, when the computer was donated and we received a
full copy of the office 2003 small business programs (3 cds in all and
previously installed...) about 2 yrs ago maybe.
We relicensed the software to the business (with my name as contact, by
phone I think) We then updated computers again just this last July. Still no
problem.
I cant figure out what triggered the conversion wizard and God only knows
which cd is in which machine.
My office owns about three copies of the software and I also own two copies
of office 2000. Hitting up against a deadline, I installed my copy of office
2000 to finish editing a newsletter- no go.
Now I can't use any of the software on any of my machines. I think I went
over the reinstall two times limit but at least one of those times it was
when the computer crashed and we reinstalled all the software.
(But even so, I should not have a trial version anymore since I used it
since I took over the position about eight months ago and used the program
for eight mos. . . (I work for a poor non-profit we can't afford my paycheck
let alone another copy of a program we purchased about 3 times for the same
employee.)-- Help, financials are due and the newsletter is late. You would
think that forking out over $900 would mean you own the software period. WHat
could suddenly retrigger the activation wizard and would reinstalling on the
same computer constitute a transfer?
Perhaps we beg for macs or learn to use Corel.
Thank you for your time and help!
