Suddenly . . .Odd page format

J

Jack Kerley

Hello,

When I open MS word I'm presented with a page that is more square than
normal format. Only by adding hitting "Headers and Footers" does the page
assume normal shape. This popped up out of the blue. Thanks for any
suggestions on a cure to this harmless--but irritating--quirk.

Perhaps you have accidentally turned on the "HIDE WHITE SPACE" feature.
Clicking in the grey area between the top of the page and the ruler can
cause Word to assume that you want to concentrate on the body text. You
can attempt to click again in the grey area (now extremely tiny)
between your page and the ruler, or go to Tools, Options and find the
HIDE/SHOW WHITE SPACE to revert to the more wysiwyg view you are used
to.
