Suddenly, Outlook 2007 won't open

After a tech support from HP re a printer malfunction, which turned out to be
a dead USB port on a USB port (which may be irrelevant) my Outlook 2007 won't
open. The circle spins and then stops. I have tried the two suggestions
already offered. When I search for scanpst.exe, I get no results. Tried
repairing through control panel.

Still won't open.

Help, help. I can get to my mail account via the web, but am lost without
my calendar and contacts.
