Suffix does not display

Dave

I am trying to do a mail merge from MS Outlook 2003 into a letter created in
Word 2003.

When I reach step 4 of the mail merge process, I select the format option "
Mr. Joshua Randall, Jr.", thinking that the suffiix (Jr.) will display in my
merge. Unfortuantely, this does not happen. I tried both the address block
and the greeting line options and in neither case did the suffiix show up.

Part of the problem may be the fact that my address records specify a
non-standard suffix (i.e., one that I typed directly into the drop down box
in the "Full Name" section of Outlook). Specifically, I typed in "USAR" or
"USMC" in the suffix drop down box. This suffix displays corrrectly in the
"Full Name" textbox in Outlook but it is not coming across in a mail merge.

Does anyone have any idea what I can do to get this suffix to print?
