Suggested LCD projector for use with Powerpoint 2002?

We are a small non-profit agency who has a laptop with Powerpoint 2002 on it.
We have received a grant to purchase a LCD projector to use as we make
presentations to groups about the issues we deal with and our mission.

Any suggestions about which projector to purchase (<$1500)?

There is not a huge difference among the brands, but more important are some
of the features, look for:
- 1024x768 output
- 1,800+ lumens
- bulb life
- replacement bulb cost
- size/form factor
