Suggestion: Make sure your Office update works BEFORE release!

After finding a message that an important security update from Microsoft had
been installed, none of my MS Office apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access,
Project) seem capable of performing any file operation (Open, Save As).
Internet Explorer does still seem to work OK. But Office is now useless.

Hey, Microsoft - I've defended you for 15 years from all the digs that I
encounter from other IT professionals. But this "snafu" is extremely
disappointing. While I understand that the Open / Save bug is a bit obscure,
limited to those users with HP scanning software or something, you guys have
$billions to thoroughly test things like this. From all of the comments on
this forum, it is obvious that many thousands of professional hours have been
wasted due to the problem. Luckily, I figured out the solution after only
about 8 hours.

Please try harder next time!
