Suggestions about formatting Home page

Thanks in advance - folks here have helped me often. I am using FrontPage
2003 and like the simple look with boxed links and a few photos planned for
the Home page. In the past I have used tables to hold the links but as I add
or subtract links the alignment is often thrown off.

I have tried using layers which looks better but seems more cumbersome.
Using simple tables in tables in awkward and doesn't always flow correctly.

I appreciate any suggestions. This is my working Home page: www.aapca1.org

I'm not sure ... what's the question? If you want to use tables you can
make a 1x1 transparent GIF, import it into your site and insert it into the
table to hold the cells in place. Just make the width (or height) of the
gif the size you want to lock the cell at. Ex: 120 pixels wide

The problem has been when I start to write in a short few sentences in a
cell on the right side of the table it forces increased spacing into the
other cells on the left side leaving a list of links in individual cells to
be spaced far apart. I eliminated that with removing the text except in this
version of the Home page to fill in space in the center of the space.

This might be a game to play when selecting where text will lay or not using
tables. I see news sites with text spaced around the page and could figure
how they managed. I wanted more control of the lay out and tables seemed
harder to work with.

I wondered what is the preferred method to have control of spacing.MMS

Insert a table into the left cell to handle your navigation links.
