Suggestions Needed

I'm stuck and really don't know how to proceed with this project, so I
thought I would see if anyone has any ideas, please.

I have a database of Inventory items that we purchase. We are a food
manufacturing plant and what I want to do is build a "receipe" database of
our products that we make. I would like to have a table that has the
product code number, the name of the product and a list of all the
ingredients and exact measurements that make up the product. Example: We
make slaw. I want to be able to create a database showing the slaw product
code number, how much cabbage is needed, how much salt, how much mayo, etc.
but be able to pull these amounts from our current list of inventory items.

Any suggestions on how to lay the tables and relationships out?

Hi Terry,

You could start by checking out the table/structures in Microsoft's template
database for recipes. It came with some of the earlier versions of Access
(you probably had to choose Custom install to actually install it), and it's
still available for download at
http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/templates/CT102144001033.aspx
