Hmmm... I have been using Word numbering quite happily for about ten years.
It doesn't make any decisions on my behalf. It does exactly what I want,
every time.
If you would like to learn to do that, I am happy to show you. But first
you have to leave the emotion behind. I have expended enough blood-pressure
on Word for both of us. The first lesson I can give you is "Word did not
feel a thing!" I managed to wind myself up into a frenzy, and nothing
changed except my blood-pressure.
So when you are done yelling let me know, and I will cheerfully pass on to
you the stuff I learned. But I can't do that until the noise level drops a
little
Microsoft Word is the most powerful word-processing tool there is. But it's
unrealistic to expect that someone can use it without learning how. It's
like a Boeing 747: expensive, powerful, and very very good at what it does.
But if you don't learn to fly, the result will be immediate, expensive, and
messy!
Cheers

Any one else wanted to slit their wrists when trying to use the numbering
system in Word?
I cannot stand the &(*&*&^&*^&ing useless decisions it makes on my behalf and
then will not let me edit them.
Please God, let some one else come up with a programme my company will
use!!!!!
