Sum amount with dates

Hi,
Could I get some help to add a date between condition for
my formula!
Column D has the dates and if the certain conditions
exists in and [F]I'd like to total from [J].

So far with my variations on this theme I've been getting
0 as a result.

=SUM(IF((B3:B1000=38)*(F3:F1000="CTU")*
(D31000>2/1/2004<23/1/2004),J3:J1000))array entered.
