sum duplicate records in query

Greetings!

I have a query that shows me duplicate part numbers from two different
tables. Each of these part numbers have different quantities in each of these
tables. I want to combine both the part number and quantity so that the part
number only shows up one time, but the quantity from both tables is combined.
Is there a way to do this?

Any reason you can't do a totals query, group by partNumber, sum of
Quantity? You can do that fine on a union query - you just can't run
action queries.
