I am working with excel spreadsheets which are pre-formatted to sum up
columns but recently when I update numbers in the columns the update is not
added to the sum. This is happening to all my spread sheets, I have tried the
=isnumber(A1) function and it returns a TRUE value also all the formulas are
correct. So does anyone know why things are not adding up? They only add up
when i attempt to leave the spread sheet it asks me "do you want to save" if
you click "yes" then the spread sheed adds up all the sums correctly.

3 0 <----------(my formula looks like this =sum(D12)) even if i start
out by deleting the contents of cells D1 and D2 then enter a value the sum
for D3 is still zero.
