sum formulas returning ""

I am tring to add a range of cells that have formulas that
might return "".

like
a2 = 2, b2 ="", c2= 3

can I do this? every thing I try returns VALUE.

Try

=SUMIF(A2:C2,"<>""")

 

[Dave Peterson]

or even

=SUM(A2:C2)

(this'll ignore text, but not errors)
