Sum in word - help

Max max

In a table with word 2003 (in italian so is , = decimal separator and .
=figure separator: eg 1.234,12)
The sum doesn't work but in another pc with word xp the same file works.

Examples of wrong results

12.10 sum above = 22,00
12,10 sum above = 0,00

With one comma sum is always zero.

Help, thanks,

Under the Regional Options utility available from the Windows Control Panel,
you need to have the Decimal Symbol, the Digit Grouping Symbol and the List
Separator set appropriately for the numbering convention in use.

It is correct. I set italian with decimal Symbol = comma and Digit Grouping
Symbol = point but it doesn't work.
If I set English (decimal symbol = point) and change the digits (point
instead comma) it works.
If I set French (decimal symbol = comma) it doesn't works.
I think it is a problem in other settings or in the register ?
Excel works.
Thanks.

You missed mentioning the third item.

Note that the List Separator cannot be set to a comma if the comma is used
for the Decimal Symbol.

Set it to something completely different e.g. ; to ensure that Word does not
think that 12,10 are two numbers in a list.
