Sum numbers in a row containing both text & numbers

To whomever may be able to help me,

I am trying to process a schedule for work. I would like
to sum the numbers in a range that contains both text and
numbers.

SARAH 4-C call-in 7-10 3 6-10 call-in 12-4 4
Total 7.

Right know it says, "#VALUE!" when I total the sum in
this particular row because I have text in two of my cell
boxes.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to do this?

Are you sure you are using SUM? SUM ignores text entries. Using the +
operator will give you an error.
