Sum orders in a month from a table

Hi.
I´ve been knocking my head black and blue in desperation...
How can I sum orders from a spec month in a table?
Cheet A look like this:
Col 1: Number of order
Col2: Date
Col3: Status (A or B)
Col4: Projectname
Col5: orderamount
I want to sum all order from ex nov 2006 into a cell in another cheet (cheet
B).
My next problem is to sum all orderamount from a spec moutn by Status (A or
B).
ex. 12 $ in nov 06 and another 14 $ in nov 06 should be sum into 26 $ for
nov 06 in the cell on the other cheet.
ex. even status should be sum into colums like this:
Cheet B
Col1: Date each month (ex. nov06, dec 06, jan07 etc)
Col2: A project (in $)
Col3: B projekt (in $)
Col4: A+B projekt (in $)
Hope yuo understand my english (I´m from Sweden)...
I would be the happiest man in the world if someone could help me...

From your description it sounds to me like you want a pivot table. Select the
source data and then choose Data -> Pivot Table... A wzard will pop up. You
can probably just hit finish. it will create a new sheet with a pivot table
on it. Drag the amounts to the middle and the dates to the left column. Right
click on the datas and select Group. Group by Month, Quarter, Year and
anything else you want. Add more fields to the pivot table until it is just
the way you want it. You can also add a Format from the pivot table tool bar
to make it fancy looking...
