SUMIF formula with non contiguous cells

I have been trying, without any success, to write a SUMIF function using non
contiguous cells and need some help. Here is the formula I am working
with:=IF(COUNT(G8:p8,U8,V8)<12,"",VLOOKUP(SUM(G8:p8+U8+V8)/SUMIF(G8:p8+U8+V8,">0",$G7:$P$7+U7+V7),GradeTbl,2))

Try replacing the SUM/SUMIF part of the formula with the following...

SUM(G8:p8,U8,V8)/(SUMIF(G8:p8,">0",G7:p7)+SUMIF(U8:V8,">0",U7:V7))
