sumif function

I am trying to use sumif function to add up a range in
excel using color as "CRITERIA". Is this possible? or is
there another way to go about it? Thanks.

You have to use a VBA function to read the ColorIndex value of a cell. See
the "Counting Cells With A Specific Color" section at

For Each Rng In InRange.Cells

What is "InRange"?
It is not declared (Dimed)..
I can't find it in Object Browser,,
This is probably elementary, but
any comments appreciated
