SUMIF with more than one condition

Does anyone have a solution to this request;
The sumif function will sum values in a column where a
criteria is met in another defined column. This is good,
but is there a way where you can sum the values in a
column where two criteria are met in two different columns?

a A 1
b B 2
c C 3
a C 2
b B 1
a B 3
b A 1


question being asked is;

for column one:
criteria to be met = b

for column two:
criteria to be met = B

Answer should be 3

A sumproduct should work

=SUMPRODUCT((A1:A10="b")*(B1:B10="B")*(C1:C10))

=SUMPRODUCT((EXACT(A1:A14,"b"))*(EXACT(B1:B14,"B")),C1:C14)
