Summary Resource Assignments are wrong in Resource Usage View

I am on MSPS 2003.

When I click the 'Load Summary Resource Assignments' option at start up, I
am seeing 'Remaining Work' in projects in which there is no remaining work.
I have re-published, over-typed the existing zero and re-published, and a
couple of other things.

What could be causing this?

You know that Summary Resource Asssignments will show work for all projects
that the resource is assigned to right? So you need to make sure there is no
remaining work for that resource on any of their projects, not just the one
which is currently open.

I'm getting exactly the same problem and I have double checked the other
tasks in ALL of the projects are indeed 100% complete - I just posted a
question on the General Questions forum (thinking it is a project
professional problem - I've hope I posted it in the right place).

Anyhow, my problem is that the actual work equals the remaining work, and
the percentage work complete is 0% on any projects listed under the "Other
projects and commitments" for a resource. When you open the other projects
they're correct but not when they're not opened!!!

Anyone got any other ideas - its driving me up the wall because when I level
it thinks there's work on these other projects when there's not and shifitng
tasks way out into the future. Are my projects corrupted in someway?

YES JOSIE!! That is exactly what i'm seeing. I am glad it's not just me!

I didn't get an answer as to why this happens but basically been told to
deselect "Load Summary Resource Assignments". Then open all the projects and
do the levelling once they're all open!
