Summary Tasks @ 0%

I have cut a summary task that has sub tasks from another MS Project file
into the file I am working on. I use paste special to make sure it pasted all
project info. All subtasks came over with their completion data but the
summary tasks are not calculating. I have checked \Tools\Options\Calulations
and they are set on Automatic. Any ideas????

Hi,

Could be you have a circular relation.
Eliminate Paste Speciial links if any.
Eliminate links to and from summary tasks.
That should do it.

Do I have any ideas, yes. You're in trouble or headed there very
quickly. First of all, using paste special generates a paste link that
is prone to corruption and totally unnecessary. If you want to transfer
the data from one file to another on a one time basis, use a simple copy
and paste.

Thanks for the help, but it did not work. How can I find out if I have a
circular relationship. I elimnated all links from my summary task and just
cut and pasted as regular. Summary tasks are still showing 0%

Do children tasks have a nonzero duration or are they all milestones?

They have a non zero duration. I found and corrected a circular relationship
last night and it all works now. Thanks for your help
