Summary view of project timesheets per project

Currently, it seems PMs can only view timesheets one period at a time for one
resource at a time. Even then, only views that fall into "Pending My
Approval", "Approved By Me", "Available timesheets to adjust", and "My
Resources Unsubmitted Timesheets" can be viewed by the PM. Our Project
managers need to be able to see a 'birds-eye' view of ALL the timesheets our
resources submit, so they can track the overall hours spent each period on
each project for each resource, regardless who approved it.

How does an organization use the timesheets to track multiple resources work
spent each period for a given project, and see this data all at once?

Please let me know if this is unclear, and I will try to clarify what I am
asking.

One option is the timesheet cube which Gary mentioned. Another is to create
some SQL Reports using SQL Reporting Services. The first option is already
available to you but has limited project and resource information in the
cube (just the project names and the resource names).

The second option is free but has to be installed on a server and needs a
report developer but is much more robust in the reporting capabilities.

Hope this helps,

Hey, thanks for the replies. We had not yet setup Analysis Services at the
time of my previous post, so I wasn't able to look there. I have done so
now, and I think that should be enough for what our PM's require. Thanks
again for your help!
