Summing cells in a column

Joanne

Hello,
I'm trying to use a formula to sum the cells in a column in a table. The
problem is that sometimes one or two of the cells will be empty and the SUM
function doesn't work then. Is there a switch or something similar that I
could add to the function that tells it to just skip a cell if it has no
value in it?

Thanks very much for any help.

On the following web page you will find a very good document (to download)
that has all kinds of tutorials for formulas in Word, including tables.
