summing dropdown box numbers

Deb

Hi,
anyway to make three listboxes or drop down boxes where you can pick
numbers, including some with decimals (e.g. 1 1,5 2 2,5...) and
then make a field that adds these numbers together? it appears
dropboxes are seen simply as images, so sum(total) doesnt work on
them. any ideas?

Use dropdowns from the forms toolbar. Double-click to give them bookmarks
names of your choosing, and to check "calculate on exit". Then, where you
want the sum, insert a calculation =sum(bookmark1,bookmark2,bookmark3).

See how to use the forms toolbar:

Hope this helps!

It can be done, but I believe you would need macros.
Do you want to go that way?
Maybe some one will come up with a clever trick! Too late in the day for
me... I am burned after working on nearly 1500 lines of code for what was
supposed to be a simple project! Can't think straight anymore!
