Summing fields in a selection

Hi All,

I have this document where some data is imported automatically in to
some fields.

The document could look like this:

Chairs 100
Sofa 200
Travel 100
Sum 400

Since it is in fields the Calculation Tool does not seem to work.
(unexpected end of formula!)

Can anyone help me with a macro that would sum the fields in a
selection made with Alt
So if I select (Via Alt) the numbers 100, 200, 100 then i could get a
sum in a msgbox?

What kind of fields have you got in your list?

Can you select them, press ctrl-chift-F9 to unlink them and leave their
results behind, then do the calculation, or do you need to retain the field
codes?

Or...
a. ctrl-shift-F9 to unlink them
b. Tools|Calculate, which puts the result in the clipboard
c. Edit|Undo or click the undo button etc. to undo step (a)
d. the result is still in the clipboard so you can paste it
