summing filtered data

I have a number of columns that present detail data from invoices. I want to be able filter the data, (filter by salesperson for instance) and then only sum those rows that are visible. In essence I want to sum the cells that have a row height > 0. However, I don't know a way to do this. It seems simple, but I don't see anything in the help section that directs me. Thanks for your help.

The =Subtotal() function has a method that sums only visible cells.

Look it up in online help as it is fairly well documented.

From memory the autosum button will set this up for you by defaul
where you have filtered list - provided the filter is in place
